A wedding gift for my DARTNet colleagues Trijoon and Unu. They are from Nepal and travelled back to Nepal for their traditional Nepalese wedding. The photos that they brought back were amazing. The colors so inspiring.

My mom had these silks in her stash and I had to use them for a gift. I used my love of creating an homage to a ‘place’ and created the shape of Nepal with my paper pieces.

I finished with a wooden floating frame mounting a canvas.

Lots of skill building with this project.

And then I put it in the mail…. I was so nervous..
